1. Who we are

EQ Index is operated by the Emotional Reactor project. We build tools to measure and advance emotional intelligence in artificial intelligence systems. Contact: contact@eqindex.ai

2. What data we collect

We collect data only in the following cases:

Essential cookies only: Session management and security. No personal data.
Analytics (with consent): Anonymized page views, feature usage. No personal identifiers stored.
AI training data (with explicit consent): Anonymized conversation patterns used to improve emotional AI research. We strip all identifying information before storage.
Submission emails: Only when you voluntarily submit your AI for scoring. Used solely to send you results.

3. How we use data

To operate and improve the EQ Index benchmark
To research and advance AI emotional intelligence
To send you your AI scoring results (submission emails only)
We do NOT use data for advertising
We do NOT sell data to any third party, ever

4. Training data collection

If you consent to training data contribution, anonymized interaction patterns are collected to improve the Emotional Reactor system. This means:

No names, emails, or identifying information is stored
Conversations are processed to extract emotional patterns only
You can withdraw consent at any time — existing data is deleted within 30 days
Data is stored securely and never shared with third parties

6. Data retention

Analytics data: 12 months. Training data (consented): until withdrawn. Submission emails: 90 days after score delivery.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Stored data is encrypted at rest. We follow industry standard security practices and conduct regular security reviews.

8. Changes to this policy

We will notify you of material changes via email (if provided) or a notice on this website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
